Should I buy a MacBook or MacBook Pro seems to be a question I get asked a lot and to be honest it usually has the simple answer; “how much do you want to spend”.
In my opinion both laptops are great, with the main difference obviously been the screen size (13.3″ vs 15″/17″) The latest MacBook Pro now also coming with a LED display, which is more eco friendly, more efficient on battery and also slightly brighter).

Here are some applications for the Mac that I generally recommend to friends.
Disclaimer: Some of these applications can potentially be used to copy copy-written material. DigitalBuzz does NOT condone there use in this manner.
1. VLC
Simple the best avi / video player available. A must have and its free!
2. DJAY
Very cool little MP3 player that lets you DJ two different MP3 audio tracks on a virtual decks.
3
The alternative web browser to Safari. Very useful if Safari does not work for a specific site - maybe Firefox will.

After talking forever to a friend the other week about what laptop to buy and recommending a MacBook, I am going to save myself some time and write a quick review of one (my mates MacBook in fact, which I am currently setting up for him!) and will in the future only need to email a link to this article!

This article is a mixture of a long term usage review of the older Macbook Pro updated to incorporate the newer models (my sister just bought one which I helped her setup).
I bought my first Intel based Mac back in March 2006, and apart from some initial problems with the hardware running a bit hot and noisy (its true what they say about never buying the first revision!) which Apple dealt with well albeit a bit slowly.

Welcome to DigitalBuzz, a site dedicated to everything to do with personal computing, with a hint of Apple.
In my mind personal computing encompasses everything we tend to do or want to do with computers, music, video, phones, the Internet in fact pretty much anything digital we in day to day life.
I plan on writing about how I (as well as friends & family) use computers to improve their life or as more often the case, just waste time!
